AnyDesk alternative when remote support is only part of the job

AnyDesk is a mature remote-desktop platform. Nizlo is an earlier-stage Windows-first RMM with remote support inside a wider endpoint workflow. They are not equivalent products, so the useful question is whether you need remote connectivity or the operating system around it.

The honest short version

Choose AnyDesk when remote access quality, connection controls, custom clients, and session administration are the priority. Test Nizlo when the same technicians also need endpoint health, alerts, patches, scripts, customer context, and reporting in one small Windows-first pilot.

Nizlo does not claim AnyDesk's maturity, remote-desktop performance, platform reach, deployment options, or installed base. AnyDesk's public core scope is not a substitute for a complete RMM evaluation either.

AnyDesk vs Nizlo: the operating differences

Primary job

AnyDeskA mature remote-desktop and remote-support platform centered on interactive and unattended connections, session controls, administration, and managed remote-access devices.
NizloAn earlier-stage Windows-first RMM that combines endpoint monitoring, inventory, alerts, patches, scripts, automation, remote support, reports, customer and site context, and a ticketing foundation.

Commercial model

AnyDeskOfficial pricing presents Solo, Standard, Advanced, and quote-based Ultimate plans. Subscriptions are billed annually; displayed monthly figures are annual-price equivalents. Plans differ by licensed users, concurrent outgoing connections, and managed devices.
Nizlo$59/month Core or $79/month Scale with one technician and unlimited RMM endpoints. Additional technicians are $15/month, and the public plans are billed monthly.

Managed-device boundary

AnyDeskThe current pricing page starts Solo at 100 managed unattended-access devices, Standard at 500, Advanced at 1,000, and Ultimate at 2,000, with plan-specific add-ons and connection limits.
NizloThe public Core and Scale plans do not meter RMM endpoints, but technician count, fair-use boundaries, platform fit, and product maturity still belong in the pilot.

Monitoring and patching

AnyDeskAnyDesk's published core feature set is remote access and support. Buyers seeking RMM should verify any separate tooling required for health monitoring, alerts, operating-system and third-party patching, and policy evidence.
NizloMonitoring, alerts, inventory, patch scans and installs, reviewed scripts, signed jobs, output, and attributable activity are part of the RMM scope and should be proven on authorized endpoints.

Administration and deployment

AnyDeskPublished business features include my.anydesk, central management, custom clients, roles, permission profiles, REST API access, MSI mass deployment on higher plans, and cloud or on-premises Ultimate hosting.
NizloCustomer, site, group, technician, policy, job, report, and support context share one cloud console. Nizlo does not claim AnyDesk's remote-connectivity maturity or deployment breadth.

Evaluation boundary

AnyDeskThe official site offers a Business Trial path but does not state one universal duration on the pricing page. Confirm current regional trial, renewal, cancellation, connection, user, and device terms before testing.
NizloOne 14-day no-card RMM trial that does not automatically convert into a paid subscription. Applying or starting a trial does not reserve a Founding Tester position.

AnyDesk is the stronger fit when

Remote connectivity is the product

  • fast, mature cross-platform remote desktop is the central requirement
  • concurrent connection licensing fits the technician workflow
  • custom clients, permission controls, and session features matter most
  • cloud or on-premises remote-access deployment is required

Nizlo may be worth testing when

The job extends beyond remote access

  • monitoring, alerts, patching, scripts, and reports must share endpoint context
  • flat public monthly pricing is easier to evaluate
  • customer and site separation belongs inside the operating workflow
  • an early Windows-first product and direct founder access are acceptable

Run the same pilot in both products

Begin with authorized lab or noncritical systems. Define expected outcomes before the test and preserve enough evidence to explain the final decision.

Test 1Map every technician, simultaneous outgoing connection, and unattended device to the exact AnyDesk plan and add-ons, then compare the full annual amount with Nizlo's monthly plan.
Test 2Install both products on the same authorized, noncritical endpoints and reconcile identity, assignment, online state, deployment behavior, and removal.
Test 3Run the same authorized remote-support session and compare connection quality, consent, unattended access, permission profiles, technician revocation, and retained evidence.
Test 4Trigger identical offline, disk, service, and resource conditions; document which product detects each condition, how alerts route, and what additional tooling AnyDesk requires.
Test 5Run the same operating-system and third-party patch cycle and compare discovery, policies, approvals, schedules, reboots, exceptions, retries, and audit history.
Test 6Execute the same harmless script and compare targeting, context, output, history, cancellation, offline behavior, and technician attribution.
Test 7Separate two test customers and prove devices, technicians, sessions, jobs, reports, policies, and usage stay correctly scoped.
Test 8Remove both agents, revoke access, export required evidence, and list every remaining dependency, contract term, and manual operating step.
