MantisRMM alternative: pricing and feature comparison
MantisRMM is a cross-platform RMM with per-agent pricing and unlimited technicians. Nizlo is a Windows-first RMM with flat public plans and unlimited RMM endpoints. They are not equivalent products.
The honest short version
MantisRMM publishes the stronger fit for cross-platform patching, vulnerability context, unlimited technicians, and broader MSP security controls. At small fleets its $20 minimum also costs less than Nizlo. Nizlo’s narrower case begins when one technician manages a growing Windows-first fleet and flat endpoint pricing matters more than that breadth.
Paid pricing
MantisRMM: $2 per active agent per month, with a 10-agent minimum and quantities added in steps of 10. Unlimited technicians are included and billing is monthly with no annual lock-in.
Nizlo: $59/month Core or $79/month Scale with one technician and unlimited RMM endpoints. Additional technicians are $15/month each, with no annual software commitment required.
Trial
MantisRMM: No credit card and up to 10 devices. Current official pages conflict: the pricing and MSP pages say 15 days, while the homepage and platform page say 30 days. Confirm the active term at signup.
Nizlo: 14 days, no credit card, no automatic charge, and unlimited RMM endpoints in the Scale trial. The workspace opens immediately.
Endpoint platforms
MantisRMM: Native Windows, Linux, and macOS agents. Published system requirements cover current Windows and Server releases, systemd Linux on x86-64 and ARM64, and macOS 14+ on Intel and Apple silicon.
Nizlo: Windows and macOS agents are available. Nizlo remains Windows-first; Linux is a limited private preview without Linux patching or remote desktop.
Patching and vulnerabilities
MantisRMM: Windows Update and WinGet, Linux apt/dnf/zypper, macOS softwareupdate, plus installed-software correlation with NVD, EPSS, and CISA KEV.
Nizlo: Windows Update patching with approval, scheduling, reboot controls, and result evidence. Nizlo does not claim cross-platform patching, broad third-party app patching, or vulnerability-management parity.
Automation and remote
MantisRMM: PowerShell, Bash, and Python scripts; chained workflows; processes, services, and files. The product page specifically describes full remote desktop for Windows endpoints.
Nizlo: PowerShell-centered scripts, scheduled workflows, jobs, services, file workflows, and remote support for supported endpoints. Validate every required platform and action in the pilot.
MSP administration
MantisRMM: Company and site organization, per-client technician scopes, unlimited technicians, dedicated customer database/storage, and a tamper-evident audit log with webhook or SIEM streaming.
Nizlo: Customer and site organization, role-based technician access, monitoring, reporting, tickets, and retained evidence. Nizlo has a smaller ecosystem and does not claim feature parity with MantisRMM's published security and SIEM scope.
MantisRMM is the stronger fit when
Cross-platform depth or technician count leads
- Linux and macOS patching are required now
- WinGet application updates and vulnerability context matter
- many technicians must be included without per-seat fees
- per-client scopes, SIEM streaming, and published audit controls lead the decision
Nizlo may be worth testing when
A larger Windows-first fleet changes the economics
- one technician manages enough endpoints for flat pricing to matter
- the required workflow fits Nizlo without cross-platform patching or vulnerability parity
- an immediate self-service workspace is preferable to reviewed activation
- unlimited trial endpoints make a wider authorized pilot useful
Compare endpoint count and technician count together.
These subscription-only examples use one technician and MantisRMM’s published $2 active-agent rate. MantisRMM includes unlimited technicians; Nizlo adds $15 per additional technician. Neither table proves product parity or complete operating cost.
