MSP360 RMM alternative: pricing and feature comparison

MSP360 is a broader cross-platform RMM with a permanent free 50-endpoint edition and paid per-endpoint pricing. Nizlo is an earlier-stage Windows-first RMM with flat public plans. They are not equivalent products.

The honest short version

MSP360 has the stronger entry offer for an MSP below 51 endpoints and the broader current platform for Linux, SNMP, software deployment, API access, and established integrations. Nizlo does not claim that breadth. Its narrower case begins when a growing Windows-first fleet makes flat pricing and direct product access more important than a permanent free tier.

Free entry

MSP360 RMM: Community Edition is free with the full RMM toolset for up to 50 endpoints, multiple admins, no card, no contract, and no time limit.

Nizlo: A 14-day trial with no credit card. Nizlo does not claim a permanent free RMM tier.

Paid pricing

MSP360 RMM: The current RMM page displays $1.75 per endpoint per month and notes volume pricing at 25 endpoints; confirm the exact calculator or quote for your fleet.

Nizlo: $59/month Core, $79/month Scale, or $99/month Suite, with one technician and unlimited RMM endpoints included.

Endpoint platforms

MSP360 RMM: Windows, macOS, and Linux are supported, with platform-specific monitoring, patching, scripts, deployment, and remote behavior.

Nizlo: Windows and macOS agents are available for managed deployment. Nizlo remains Windows-first; a Linux x64/ARM64 monitoring preview supports health, inventory, services, reviewed Bash jobs, and permission-gated terminal access. Linux remote desktop and patch management are not available yet. The strongest current fit remains Windows-first.

Operations

MSP360 RMM: Monitoring, custom alerts, OS and software patching, deployment, group actions, scripts, reports, antivirus status, and SNMP monitoring.

Nizlo: Earlier-stage monitoring, alerts, Windows patching, scripts, jobs, reports, and retained technician evidence; no breadth-parity claim.

Remote and tickets

MSP360 RMM: Browser-based remote access for Windows and macOS is included. Alerts can create tickets in the built-in ticketing system.

Nizlo: Built-in remote workflows and a ticketing foundation. Validate platform support, consent, roles, evidence, and service-desk depth in the pilot.

Ecosystem

MSP360 RMM: RMM API, ConnectWise PSA and HaloPSA integrations, plus an MSP Platform that combines RMM, backup, remote access, and ticketing.

Nizlo: A smaller ecosystem and earlier product stage. Keep PSA, backup, security, documentation, and unsupported integrations in the complete-stack cost.

MSP360 is the stronger fit when

Free entry or cross-platform breadth leads

  • a permanent free RMM for up to 50 endpoints changes the decision
  • Linux endpoint management or current cross-platform depth is required
  • SNMP, software deployment, API access, or ConnectWise and HaloPSA integrations matter now
  • backup and RMM belong in the same vendor platform

Nizlo may be worth testing when

A growing Windows-first fleet changes the economics

  • the fleet is above the free threshold and flat pricing is easier to model
  • public month-to-month plans and one included technician fit the operating model
  • the required PSA, backup, security, and documentation tools can remain separate
  • an earlier-stage pilot and direct influence on product priorities are acceptable

Price the threshold, not only the starting point.

For 50 or fewer endpoints, compare Nizlo against MSP360 Community Edition—not against a made-up paid total. Above that threshold, enter the exact MSP360 calculator or quoted price and compare it with Nizlo’s flat plan plus every retained PSA, backup, security, documentation, and cross-platform dependency.

Run the same pilot in both products

Begin with authorized lab or noncritical systems. Define the expected outcome before setup and preserve the evidence needed to explain the decision later.

Test 1Enroll the same authorized Windows endpoints and reconcile customer, site, hostname, user, serial, agent version, and duplicate identity.
Test 2Trigger identical offline, disk, service, and resource conditions; compare routing, persistence, recovery, noise, and technician effort.
Test 3Run one Windows and one third-party patch ring; compare approval, scheduling, reboot, exceptions, reporting, and partial-failure evidence.
Test 4Deploy and remove a harmless application, then run the same script with identical targeting, permissions, output, retries, and offline behavior.
Test 5Open an authorized remote session and compare setup, role boundaries, consent, revocation, unattended access, and retained session evidence.
Test 6Create a ticket from the same alert and measure customer context, ownership, deduplication, escalation, closure, and PSA dependencies.
Test 7Price the current fleet, 100 endpoints, and 500 endpoints using the actual MSP360 quote and every retained Nizlo-side tool.
Test 8Remove the agents, revoke technicians, stop schedules and integrations, export required records, and prove access no longer succeeds.
