PDQ Connect alternative: pricing and feature comparison
PDQ Connect is a mature cloud endpoint-management product with strong deployment, patching, and vulnerability workflows. Nizlo is an earlier-stage Windows-first RMM that adds monitoring, alerts, customer context, reports, and ticketing ambitions. They are not equivalent products.
The honest short version
Choose PDQ Connect for a mature package library, Windows and macOS deployment, and vulnerability-led remediation. Its public plans begin at 100 devices, so a smaller team should model that minimum. Test Nizlo when broader Windows-first RMM workflow and flat unlimited-endpoint pricing matter more—and only after proving the narrower, earlier product can handle the required jobs.
Commercial model
PDQ Connect: Public annual per-device pricing: Basic $12, Plus $18, and Premium $28 per device/year, with a 100-device minimum.
Nizlo: $59/month Core or $79/month Scale with one technician and unlimited RMM endpoints; additional technicians are $15/month.
Primary scope
PDQ Connect: Cloud endpoint management centered on inventory, software deployment, patching, automation, remote desktop, and vulnerability workflows.
Nizlo: Earlier-stage Windows-first RMM covering monitoring, alerts, inventory, patching, scripts, automation, remote support, reports, and a ticketing foundation.
Platforms
PDQ Connect: PDQ documents Windows and macOS management in Connect.
Nizlo: Windows and macOS agents are available for managed deployment. Nizlo remains Windows-first; a Linux x64/ARM64 monitoring preview supports health, inventory, services, reviewed Bash jobs, and permission-gated terminal access. Linux remote desktop and patch management are not available yet.
Patching and security
PDQ Connect: Basic includes manual deployments; Plus adds automated deployments; Premium adds vulnerability scanning, prioritization, and one-click CVE resolution.
Nizlo: Windows-first patch scans and installs with approval, targeting, job state, and attributable activity. Nizlo does not claim PDQ's package library or vulnerability-management maturity.
Remote support
PDQ Connect: Remote desktop is included in Plus and Premium and uses a separate remote agent and local viewer.
Nizlo: Built-in Windows-first remote workflow intended to share device and customer context with the rest of the RMM console.
Trial
PDQ Connect: 14 days, no credit card, core features for up to 250 devices; PDQ says some advanced automation and integrations are limited unless enabled by sales.
Nizlo: 14 days without a credit card. Founding Tester positions depend on successful paid-upgrade order, not signup order.
PDQ Connect is stronger when
- a mature package library and vulnerability workflow lead the decision
- Windows and macOS must share one deployment workflow now
- the 100-device annual minimum fits the fleet
- PDQ's established endpoint-management scope matches the job
Nizlo may be worth testing when
- monitoring, alerts, reports, remote work, and tickets need shared customer context
- flat public pricing with unlimited RMM endpoints is easier to model
- the fleet is Windows-first and separate security tools remain in place
- direct founder access and roadmap influence justify an early controlled pilot
